LIGHTING TECHNOLOGIES INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF PROJECTOR LAMP MANUFACTURING ASSETS OF ILLUMINATE CALIFORNIA, INC.

BALDWIN PARK, CA - Lighting Technologies International (LTI) announces the acquisition of certain assets of Illuminate California, Inc., located in Milpitas, California. These assets include equipment and intellectual property related to the manufacture of high pressure mercury discharge lamps used in front projector and rear projection television (RPTV) applications. LTI plans to immediately relocate the equipment to its facility in Baldwin Park, California, near Los Angeles. Two Illuminate employees, Richard Gilliard PhD, former President of Illuminate California, and Pampilo Sagala, former Illuminate lead development engineer, have joined LTI. Rich will be LTI’s new VP of Technology. Pampilo will have the title of Project Engineer.

These assets will enable LTI to enter the rapidly growing front projector and RPTV lamp market. This market was equal to nearly $1 billion in 2004 and is expected to grow to almost $3 billion by 2007, making it the fastest growing and largest segment of the specialty lamp industry.
