Lamp life

Average lifetime is stated by LTI for each mercury xenon lamp. Lamps that are operated with the correct equipment and to the recommended specifications will typically be operable beyond their average lifetimes. However, after exceeding the average life by 25%, the bulb should be replaced due to increased the risk of failure. Factors that negatively affect lamp life include the number of ignition cycles, operating power levels, and cooling.
