The spectral distribution shown in the chart below is typical of a mercury xenon lamp from LTI. The lamps exhibit high radiant intensities in the blue, violet, and ultraviolet regions due to the energy added by the mercury. The spectral lines of 365 nm, 405 nm, and 436 nm are particularly strong.
